MBA professors and their teaching methods
MBA professors use different teaching strategies even if they are under one university. So, you have to expect different teaching styles. To give you an idea, here is a short list of some of the teaching methods that MBA professors employ:
>Lecture
Lectures are considered as a traditional way of teaching. Professors stand in front of the class to give insights regarding a particular topic. They can also engage students in their discussions. This is why it is advisable for you to read your lessons before attending classes. Interaction in lectures are also a good training ground for developing self-confidence.
>Experiential teaching
This method is considered as a practical approach to learning. MBA students are given tasks wherein they will have to apply different business theories, models, and methods into a real-world setting. This kind of hands-on learning will give students the chance to actually use what they have learned inside the classroom.
>Group project
MBA professors assign a work or problem to a group of students. This will let you have the opportunity to interact with your classmates. Although each person is assigned a particular responsibility, this teaching method will still allow you to learn from your classmates.
>Case study
In a case study, professors assign a specific topic to students in advance so students have the time to research and study that topic. You will be then required to share with your classmates the things you have learned in the case study. Analyses in case studies are also presented in class.
